Pedagogy Workshop, “Developing Pedagogy with Generative AI in FRIT classrooms,” Wednesday, April 10, 2-3pm in CL 1219

You’re all invited to our next pedagogy workshop: “Developing Pedagogy with Generative AI in FRIT Classrooms,” next Wednesday, April 10th, 2:00pm-3:00pm in CL 1219. The workshop, will be led by our very own Jin Kim and Caitlin Dahl. Here is their description of the workshop:

“From a survey given to Pitt Composition students in April 2023, 70% of them have used ChatGPT and 80% have used Grammarly. How can Generative AI be meaningfully used in FRIT classrooms, and what kind of syllabi policies do we need to set up as instructors? This workshop suggests several ways to reassess our syllabi when it comes to permitting/prohibiting AI in class, as well as specific examples and activities that can be facilitated by using Generative AI. During the workshop, we will freely discuss our perceptions of Generative AI such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and GPT 2,3, or 4, and brainstorm how to encourage their utilization effectively.”
